A picture says a thousand words...
My husband is a hard working man! Yesterday was Part of Pioneer Day weekend and Jared was put on call. :(. In this pic, we were at Costco on a date & he got "the call" to go into work. We are SO grateful for his job...don't get me wrong...but by being the new guy, he's definitely working crazy hours! Gotta start somewhere though, right? Let's just say that I cannot WAIT for this weekend, being his first weekend off since he started on June 1st!! We're going to have the BEST time just being together! :D. I'm so grateful for him and all of his hard work for me and our future family. <3

Relaxing Sunday with the fam :)
It was so fun having my parents come down to PG today! I usually come up north to visit them from time to time, but we decided to switch it up today. :)
Trying to figure out how to post a pic from my cell phone to blogger...sorry my posts are so weird! Lol
Got my iPhone 4 yesterday and have been trying to figure it out. It was always annoying posting on my blog without knowing how to post any pics. Crossing fingers that I hope it works! :). I haven't written in a normal diary in who knows how long! So I decided to post from here as my journal entry for a change & it will be a little more exciting being able to post pics with my entries! :) I love this phone! Lol...

Blessings
I'm SO excited, I can't contain myself!! My hubby worked his tail off and it's paid off! :-) We just found out today that he got the job with Rocky Mountain Power, in Utah!!! Can I hear a WOOT WOOT? We've been waiting for this opportunity for a while now and I'm SO stoked! It feels so surreal at this moment! I feel that I need to be pinched so that I can wake up! Lol....I'm so proud of Jared and all of his hard work that got him to this point. He's amazing!
So yeah, that's about it! :-) Now we need to figure out where we're going to live, in the next 2 1/2 weeks!! AHH! It's crunch time. My next post will be from Utah! :-) Can't wait!! Night 'yall!

Birthday Fun!
Yesterday I celebrated my 24th birthday! I remember when my oldest sister Heather turned 25 thinking how ancient she was ;) Well, I guess I can breathe a sigh of relief since I'm not quite "ancient" yet. Lol...jk to all those of you over 25. ;) But it's crazy thinking that you're almost a quarter century old! Hmmm...no likey. However, I've learned a lot in my 24 years of life! I've also been very blessed with the life I've been given. I hope to grow and experience much more in my next 76 years. ;) Maybe this will be the year that Jared and I will get to move back to Utah! :) Maybe this will be the year we buy our first house!! I cant wait to be my own "interior designer!" I already have plans of what I want to do with my future house! :) And maybe, just maybe we'll be blessed with a baby and make our family of two, three. These are some of my goals this next year...or the years to come. :) I've been SO blessed with the life I have already though. I have an amazing family, I have the BESTEST hubby in the WORLD that treats me like his queen and best friend and I've been blessed with the MOST amazing friends a girl could have, that love me...even with my A.D.D attributes. ;) Lol..I love you guys! :) I'm also SO grateful to be LDS. :) My faith gives me purpose and strength every day and I really would be lost without it. And one last thing, I'm SO grateful for my country! I'm so lucky and priveledged to be able to live in a FREE country! I've always loved Europe, it's elegance and finding out my heritage through geneology work, and those who we're related to...which is way fun to find out. :) And I'd love to visit some of the areas over there where family was from, but I'll never be more PROUD of my ancestors that decided to "high tail" it out of Europe and come here, to the land of the free, so that they could have the freedom to worship who they wanted and not be punished for it! Sorry, I just love geneology. ;) But thanks to those ancestors, I can live free and so can my family, future family and their posterity. :) I'm grateful for all of the service men and women who protect our freedom every day! THANK YOU! :) There's only one expression that I can describe the feelings in my heart. Gratitude. :) Its a good feeling! It's like that Martina McBride song "I have been blessed." It's a good one and will leave you feeling happy. :) They say happiness is contageous, so pass it on. :) Ok, now I'll get to my Birthday. :) It was awesome! I got a lot of cute cards in the mail from family and friends and fun phone calls. :) Then, when the Mr. came home we went out to dinner @ Me N' Eds Pizza and had their Hot Hawiian. It was DELICIOUS!! *Choir of angels singing* haha. Then, we came home and unwrapped presents. I loved all the cute clothes and lotions...but my cute little iPod shuffle thinggy in bubble gum pink was my favorite. :) I've been getting a little repetative to Jared about getting a shuffle, because I've been running with my iPod, and it's all heavy and stuff....so this shuffle is amazing, because it just clicks onto my shirt or pants and is completely hands free. I love it. :) I love to jog and now the experience will be more exciting. :) YAY! Then the finale of the evening came with Jared's homemade chocolate cake and store bought cookie dough ice cream. Mmmm mmm good! Lol...but yeah, he seriously made it from scratch! (Except for the frosting) ;) And it was Soooooo good! Good job Bubba! :) It was a fantastic birthday! :) And I thank all of my amazing friends and family for making it that way. :) Thank you! Now bring on the weekend for more birthday celebration with the fam!! :) Can't wait!

Universal Studios, weird weather & gettin' stuck in the pass
Jared usually works on Saturdays, with Sundays off. Well, this last Saturday morning the alarm clock went off at 4:20 am...as it does everyday. This time though, he got up, packed some lunch and told me to get up and get ready. I was thinkin' he was crazy. I was still pretty out of it! But once I was ready to go wherever it was, he told me we were heading to Universal Studios! :) A play day! I was so stoked!
So we get to Universal Studios and the weather went from a little chilly to crazy!! It started hailing little dippin' dots! The cool thing about bad weather when your at an amuzment park though, is that there's hardly anyone there and there's hardly any wait in the lines! Caution: Never try to eat hail from the sky. It hurts. It may look like condensed snow. But, its not snow. Unlike snow, hail will hurt your face. Lol. Poor Jared! So instead of trying to eat hail from the sky, we played a game to catch as much hail in our hands as we could and then we'd throw it at eachother and have a "hail fight!" Haha...yeah. We probably looked rediculous....but when you're having fun, it doesn't matter.
We started getting tired of he hail, after a while so we went to the movies! We saw "I am number four" in IMAX. It was a pretty cool show! Since we both had never been to an IMAX before, we were blown away with how huge the screen was! We had a blast. After the movies, we went to Yogurtland for some amazing yogurt! The New York cheesecake and red velvate cake yogurt was the best! :) We were in yogurt heaven!
Unfortuantely when we were heading home to bakersfield, the pass closed due to "snow." I think its pretty silly because snow around here is nothing compared to snow up north. The only way that troopers will close the canyons up in Utah, is if the roads are covered in inches of snow, a blizzard...or something pretty "hard core." Yeah...I just said "hard core." Haha...Anyways, it is a good thing that they are cautious. Just to be safe. But when it's that "time of the month" and you didn't pack a change of clothes or any of the "over night" essentials, it doesn't make for a happy woman! I'll admit...I was a little pain in the butt. To top it off...all of the decent hotels were full...so we stayed at a place called :" Castaic Inn" close to Valencia California. It was alright...but they had plastic covers over the matress..so any time you tossed and turned in your sleep..you'd here a little sound effect to go with it. There was tape on the dresser "as a temporary fix it," a few little booger lookin things in the sheets! Yucky! Lol...but to top that off, "dun dun duuun"...there wasn't a remote for the t.v! Haha...we can laugh about it now because it's just funny and it's over! :) As the pass re-opened on Sunday morning..we drove straight home. Ahhh. It's just SO nice to be Home Sweet Home! :)

Viva La Mexico Riviera!
Last week was amazing! Jared was able to take off a week of work, so we decided to go on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera! I gained about 10 lbs. But we weren't counting then, because we were on vacation. :) Our first stop was in Puerto Vallarta. It was filled with a lot of fun Mexican culture. The only negative thing I can say about it is that there were WAY too many guys wearing speedos. Which fortunately is NOT the trend in the US. Haha. Ew! Anyways, the next day we traveled to Mazatlan. We took a bus tour through the city. It was adventurous and we had the chance of seeing a gorgeous cathedral. After we toured the cathedral, we walked across the street to the park and danced in a gorgeous gazeebo. :) The best part was when a group of kids that were on a field trip came running up on to the gazeebo. They looked at us as though we were aliens from another planet! Once Jared opened his mouth to speak spanish to them, they looked at him with pure shock! They spoke back to him. He was so happy to have the chance to work on his espanol again (since he served in mexico on his mission). :) The final port was in Cabo San Lucas. It wad my favorite! We snorkled and kayaked along the cabo coast. It was GORGEOUS!! :) We kayaked really close to some seals that were swimming around! They were so cute! :) I wanted to pet one because they were that close, but I chickened out for fear that they might think that were lunch or something! After the day in Cabo was through, we headed back to our port in San Diego. Although the ports were fun to visit, my favorite experience was traveling on the ship! There was so much to do and eat! It was amazing and we met some really fun people that we intend to stay in contact with, which happen to live in American Fork Utah. Not too far away from my parent's place! :) The entertainment was awesome! They had magicians, comedians and my favorite, the Elton John impersonator!! He sounded exactly like him and was crazy hillarious! :) I loved the cruising experience. The ultimate best part though, was being able to hang out with my hubby all week!! He works all the time it seems, so it was definitely needed. :) I would cruise with Holland America again...but next time we're going on a Disney cruise! :)
